Technology

Based on a proven process known as Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC). In simple terms this causes the scale forming crystals to stick to each other and not to metal surfaces

Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC), Scale Stop produced the first effective salt or chemical-free scale prevention method. Hardness minerals are converted into harmless crystals.

Maintenance

Scale Stop replacement media typically costs less than the annual salt bill for a system of similar size, and media change out periods can vary from 3 to 5+ years on higher flow rate systems.

• Hardness, max. 75 grains (1300 ppm of CaCO₃)
• Ferrous Iron max 0.3 mg/l
• Manganese max 0.05 mg/l
• Copper max 1.3 mg/l

Chlorine max 0.3 ppm, *(note the media will last longer if this is removed prior to the system)

What is the intended maximum flow rate in your home?

Don't know your flow rate... Fixture counts and the number of people is a practical way when you have AN endless water supply, for those in the country well-pumping systems often are the limiting factor so a bucket test using a stop watch and a hose from your manifold, yard hydrant, bathtub or tank tee will work great.
