Creston Water & Treatment
The town's water has three official sources though the two wells are almost never used. Arrow Creek is the main source for the town and has a fairly modern treatment system. Chlorine and natural fluoride are the two main issues with the water other than some seasonal bacteria and turbidity. Carbon filtration, sediment filters, and reverse osmosis systems are common forms of treatment.
The wells can be deep and very shallow in this region, and equally variable is the water quality. Kootenay Lake is also a water source serving much of the residences dotted along its shores. Water softeners, Iron filters, Turbidity, and Sediment filtration systems, Reverse Osmosis, UV systems, Chlorination, UF, Metsorb are many of the treatment systems found in the countryside such as arsenic and uranium. Thes elements are often found in pockets of this region.
