50 gpd (gallon per day) Black Max TFC (thin film composite) Residential Reverse Osmosis Membrane by Waterite.

Fits all Waterite Vectapure and WR series Reverse Osmosis systems and most standard residential membrane housings.

If your system already used a 50 gpd membrane you can simply replace the membrane but if you are changing the size of the membrane say from a 36 gpd to a 50 gpd rated membrane then you will also need to change the flow control valve to match the new membrane. See our Reverse Osmosis parts section for your flow control valve if needed.

Note: Often the small openings or tubes in a flow control valve can become plugged slowing the pure water production rate, it is advisable to reaplce this vlave when replacing your membrane.

The matching flow control valve to this 50 gpd rated membrane is a 350ml flow restrictor part # FR350EZ

Not sure if this membrane will fit your system?

Click on the membranes picture and you will find a diagram with exact measurement points matching this information.

A = 1.8" inches

B = 11.75" inches

C = 10" inches

D = 0.875" inches

E = 0.678" inches

*Residential membranes are available in all popular sizes  – 50, 75 and 100GPD (TFC)

Waterite Technologies was a Canadian water treatment equipment manufacturer founded in 2000 known for its broad portfolio of high quality water softeners, iron filters, and ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems. Popular POU water purification systems included Waterite's line of Vectapure reverse osmosis (RO) systems, the Ultra-Compact V360 for residential applications, the RSX commercial RO and the VectaMaxx for demanding industrial environments.

Today, many Waterite products and technologies continue under Franklin Water Treatment Canada following the acquisition of Waterite Inc. in 2020. While legacy Waterite systems and replacement components are still supported, newer Franklin Water Treatment solutions often provide compatible replacements or upgraded next-generation designs for many Waterite installations.

For many Canadians the huge selection of industry standard, specialty filter cartridges, filtration media, BlackMax membranes and housings made Waterite the #1 water treatment brand of choice for decades.

Waterite's extensive water purification line of products included:

  • The Fusion²™ Water Softener
  • The Vectapure NX™ Reverse Osmosis System (RO)
  • The Excelpure™ / ExcelPlus+ Filter Cartridge
  • The Excelight™ UV Ultraviolet System
  • The Excelclear™ Ion Exchange System
  • The Excelflow™ Inline Cluster and Bag Filter Housing
  • The Centurion™ Granular Activated Carbon Filter
  • The Hypurion™ Polypropylene Depth Filter
  • The Black Max® Reverse Osmosis Membrane
  • Manganite™ Greensand Media used for Iron and Manganese Removal

About Waterite Technologies, Inc.

Waterite was headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and became well known across North America for designing and distributing water treatment and purification equipment. The company operated regional sales offices and distribution facilities throughout Canada and the United States, serving residential households, commercial facilities, and industrial water treatment applications.

Waterite systems addressed a wide range of water quality concerns including hardness, iron, manganese, sediment, chlorine, and other contaminants. Their product portfolio included water softeners, media filtration systems, reverse osmosis drinking water systems, ultraviolet disinfection equipment, filter cartridges, membrane housings, and a variety of treatment components.

Many Waterite installations remain in service today, and replacement filters, cartridges, membranes, and some system components are still available, albeit in limited supply from water treatment companies like The Water Guy (Canada) – specializing in rare, hard to find system components, parts & filters. In most cases, Franklin Water Treatment Canada offers updated solutions that are compatible with existing Waterite systems while providing modern design improvements and expanded performance capabilities.

If you are looking for a Waterite system component, reverse osmosis retrofit kit, water softener, replacement filter cartridge, membrane, mounting bracket, UV system, tank, RO related part or accessory that is not listed on this page, please contact us by email or call our office (1-866-489-4004). Our team can help identify the correct replacement part or recommend a compatible Franklin Water Treatment Canada upgrade.

Browse our remaining selection of Waterite water purification systems, replacement cartridges, membranes, and components while inventories are still available! A real Water Guy can also help guide you toward the latest Franklin Water Treatment Canada systems designed to replace or upgrade legacy Waterite equipment.
