The mediaguard replaces your upper basket and slides over your riser rod.

If your system alread came with a mediaguard and this is a replacement your DLFC (Drain-Line Flow Control) will already be sized for this.

If this is a new addition to your system, you will need to size up your DLFC one size or a minimum of 4gpm which ever is greater. It is important to keep these systems clean and the media loose otherwise they can impact your flow and pressure.
